The
Kalamalka Highlanders were formed in 1984 from the remnants of the
The MacIntosh’s Girls Pipeband and a rag-tag group of musicians
who had been traveling to Kelowna, Salmon Arm and Kamloops to play
the music they loved. The band has grown now to 22 pipers, 4 snare
drummers, We are a non-profit society so depend a lot on corporate & private donations along with the fundraising activities we participate in, such as our “Brave Heart Challenge” in Polson Park in September, the annual “Kalamalka Highlanders & Friends” concert at the Performing Arts Center in November and this years main one: the "Calendar for Kilts” . We also do charitable activities such as playing inspirational music for the runners in “Do it for Dad”, Rick Hansen “Wheels in Motion” and the “Run for the Cure” . As well we collect money in the annual Santas Anonymous “Pub-crawl” for children’s charities. The band enjoys playing at events of all types. Hire
